Joseph Race late pioneer settler of Mountview district died in Portage la Prairie on Tuesday 28th inst. A native of England he homesteaded at Mountview 32 years ago and farmed there for years before moving to town. His wife predeceased him and his son Frederick remains in town. Funeral held today from Farrell's undertaking parlors with Rev. F. P. Barrett conducting.
