The Dauphin Plains Red Cross chapter reports weekly deliveries including 4 dressing gowns 12 suits and 3 pairs socks plus 5 more pairs of socks and pyjamas from Baptist Willing Workers. Donations total 6.2 dollars in Dauphin Plains and 2786 dollars through Spruce Creek via Mrs. McLaughlin.
A shipment of PURE LINEN Table Damask has arrived but quantities are limited as goods move quickly. Bleached linen 72 in wide priced from $1.25 to $2.50 a yard. 60 pieces of new Season Ginghams in plain colors and checks ideal for children's frocks and house dresses. Superior quality with fast colors. Yard at 20 cents. New Season Prints also in stock, 200 pieces of standard English prints with fast colors and a broad pattern range.
A fragmented grocery ad notes seeds are scarce this year and urges early purchase. It lists assorted items with prices and notes price increases on baking powders and canned goods, including peas and pineapple, along with household wares and dishware.

The town hall show Hearts and Diamonds by the Young People's Dramatic Society will run Tuesday night in April. Proceeds benefit patriotic causes, totaling over seven hundred dollars to date, with Malcolm Drug Store selling remaining tickets and the hall expected to be packed.
The junior 1.0.D.E. ran the rink on Thursday March 21 with a band present. The ice was good despite mild weather as a large crowd enjoyed the last skating night. Wicket receipts were 22 dollars and Saturday tea income 12.80. The chapter thanks Mr. Willis for tea room use. More material for pajamas was collected and the work committee plans a sewing meeting next Wednesday. Plenty of yarn remains to be distributed.
Easter services planned across St Pauls churches with sunrise and dawn observances at St Pauls Anglican at 6 and 8, sermons on Our Easter Greetings and the Power of the Resurrection, Sunday school Easter carol service at 3. Methodist holds children's Easter address, choir concert, and Ladies' Aid meeting April 2. Presbyterian union service on Good Friday and an Easter program at 2 30 with choir pieces and Messiah excerpts.
Owing to bad roads some collections are not yet made. Amounts listed show multiple donors including Mesdames Johnston Sutherland Gofton McIntyre Daly McQuigge Day Farrell and others. Funds will be used for linen bedding curtains kitchen utensils and patient care materials.
Rev J A Haw of Souris has accepted a call to become pastor of the Dauphin Methodist Church. He is completing his fourth year in Souris.
Geo Buchannon buys W 22 25 19 and NE 3 15 25 19 townsite farm from the McIntosh estate. Jordan purchases the SE 1 26 19 from Geo Buchannon.
At Dauphin on March 21 and 25, births were reported to Darroch and McIntosh couples. An obituary notes May Ellen Durham, aged 14 years 11 months 8 days, while Bonpexs John Henry is remembered by his wife and daughter Eileen. A Royal Prt Store ad promotes Easter hams and bacons.
