The University of Manitoba girls hockey team defeated Dauphin Collegiate Institute 4 to 2 at Dauphin arena on Saturday night. Margaret Cochrane and Norma Weir opened scoring, Daisy Boyd added two goals, and Dorothy Mudge sealed it in the third period. Manitoba players listed include Cochrane, Weir, Boyd, Cadwell, Syme and Mudge. Dauphin tallies by Cadwell and Weir. After the game the visitors dined at the Hamilton Hotel hosted by Collegiate teachers.

Skating Party and Moccasin Dance Draw Good Support
A large turnout attended a skating party and moccasin dance at the local skating arena sponsored by the Dauphin Citizens' Welfare Association to raise funds for local relief. The Dauphin Citizens Band played from 7.30 to 9.30 for skating and until 11.00 for dancing. admission proceeds were 9.36. The organizing committee included S. Solomon as chairman, R. E. Dauphin Agricultural Society met with 22 directors. The board reported on the Western Canada Fairs Association meeting in Winnipeg and the need to coordinate dates and attractions as several B class fairs may drop out. Dauphin and two other Manitoba fairs will host events July 14 15 and 16 with Conklin Garrett Shows providing the midway. They urged continued Dominion Cow Testing Service support and noted plans for a uniform prize list and shared funding among the three fairs.
