Farm forum meets at Beyko home in Spruce Creek

The Spruce Creek farm radio forum group gathered Monday March 3 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Beyko with lunch served after the meeting. A large crowd attended last Friday’s concert in the community hall and well wishes go to Miss Glenda Ewen, recently hospitalized.

Fork River Legion bonspiel crowns Lundy rink in March

The annual Legion bonspiel on March 9 drew 16 rinks with Peter Lundy leading the winning rink and Art Jamieson’s foursome taking second. Seven rinks came from Winnipegosis, plus two from Dauphin and one from Sifton district. Fork River hosted three rinks in Winnipegosis competition. Local social notes mention visits, gatherings, and condolences for the Budzey family on the loss of a two and a half month old daughter.
