The Dauphin commercal travel association staged its 15th annual ice carnival with a packed arena and royal observers. The program featured Ice Club on Parade, a two hour show of skating numbers, solos, and novelty acts including a model airplane act and military fusileers.

Park Road funding outlined by federal minister
Federal Minister of Mines and Resources J A MacKinnon disclosed that 430000 of an estimated 480000 for park highway work is planned for the department. The letter to W J Ward notes last year seven miles were completed. about 25 miles remain. Original 1968 appropriation was 209000, with four miles finished by August and eight miles of clearing and construction charged to that amount. An extra 50000 was later allotted enabling four more miles to be completed by late November.

Recreation Survey Committee Seeks Town Grant
