Women from the Ukrainian community gathered at the Ukrainian People's home to honor a poet with a concert featuring vocal and instrumental numbers and readings. A special lecture was given by Hrebeniuk, a local parish priest of the Ukrainian Greek Orthodox church, and Mrs. J. A. Yurkiw delivered an address.

Public School Classes Hit War Savings Quotas

Etiquette Club Hosts Tea for Members and Guests
The Etiquette Club sponsored by the Dauphin Youth Service Council held a Saturday afternoon tea in the Collegiate auditorium. Mothers, friends, and representatives from youth organizations attended as girls presented skits on proper social and business conduct. Senior counselors Mrs. A. M. Prairie Chicken Tells a Story from Broad Indians Cadet Corps
The oldest Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps in Alberta is the Broad Indians of St. Paul Residential School near Cardston. Their members have names like Dan Bad Arm and Don Weasel Moccasin. Their fathers served in the Great War and 2,300 brothers across Canada are serving in the Armed Forces.

Ethelbert Couple Celebrate 45th Wedding Anniversary
Mr and Mrs B Skaife of Ethelbert marked their 45th anniversary on March 1 after marrying in 1899 in St Helens England. They moved to Canada that spring. He served at the Ethelbert post office since 1917 and she works with the C W A C and Red Cross. Their family includes son Douglas in the RCAF and four daughters with 27 grandchildren.
