Dauphin Inter national Oratory Contest Set for March 22
Dauphin Constituency Contest in the Manitoba Series will be held in the Collegiate Auditorium on Friday evening March 22 at 15. Dauphin Boys Band to Appear at Town Hall Event
The Dauphin Boys Band formed this winter under Rotary Club sponsorship will debut at the town hall Friday night during the Boys and Girls Short Course finale. Supper at 6 30 by the Winter Fair committee, guests are the short course students. The program starts after the meal and ends around 10, followed by a dance with the Dauphinalians orchestra. Admission to dance 50 cents. Supper tickets at McDonald & Oliphants and Heaslip's Drug Store.

The Dauphin district of the United Farmers of Manitoba held its annual ball in the town hall on Friday March 2 drawing an immense crowd over 406. Denny Kells directed the program as the Dauphin Juveniles orchestra supplied dances and a generous supper. Committees from Spruce Creek Valley River and other areas organized finance refreshments decoration and more. A quilt was auctioned during the evening by Dan Hamilton for the Dauphin Plains Women's Section.
