The town council plans to permit keeping hogs within the corporation under defined conditions and in specific areas. A nominal license fee will cover inspection. A committee of Coun. Bennett, Houston, and Katz, staffed by hog industry experts, will report findings.
The Soldiers' Aid Society met in the town hall on Tuesday Sthinst for its second annual meeting. Officers were elected and reports showed a successful year with total receipts of 2549.08 and extensive support including 450 parcels sent to troops in France and 550 pairs of socks.
A 500 party at the home of Mr Charles McLachlin on Friday includes sleighs leaving at 7 30 admission 50c and advance notice to Mrs Hawkins. Next Tuesday the Collegiate students perform The Worsted Man musical comedy in town hall to aid the Prisoners War Fund admission 50c. Grade VII hockey beats Grade LX 3 2 with Grade VII girls scoring three first half goals. Portteous dauphin March 1st a daughter born to Mr and Mrs Wu. Boult Dauphin February 27th Mrs George Bull aged 54. Henry Lines Hanks born at Dauphin March 38th aged 69 7 23.

The H. C. Purdy Co. sold their entire business interests to Mr. W. G. White of Souris. White, a well known western merchant, will open in Dauphin with a full stock of merchandise soon. Purdy remains in wholesale and Miss Smit plans to return to England.
The single and married men renew their hockey contest at the rink tomorrow evening. The married team previously defeated the singles and the latter plan a decisive rematch with notable lineup changes.
The event drew perhaps the largest crowd ever for a local dance with ideal weather aiding turnout. The Red Cross, Soldiers' Aid, and the Daughters of the Empire shared a $150 surplus from the proceeds, after several years of Scotch dancing by the Simpson sisters delighted attendees.
The record lists Red Cross shipments including 30 pairs of socks 238 face cloths 65 personal property bags 31 pajama suits and 62 fomentation wringers. Deer Lodge Convalescent Home received six sofa pillows. The refreshment committee thanks the Old Timers' Dance promoters for a donation of 49.85 dollars from proceeds.
