Prizes Stay Home In Ladies Bonspiel Final

The Dauphin Ladies Bonspiel concluded February 26 at the local curling rink after two days of play. Eleven skips competed including two from Gilbert Plains. Mrs Isaac Johnston won Eaton prize defeating Middleditch. winning rink included Mrs Johnston and others. The Citizen's cup went to Mrs L J Hughes over Mrs J Del mage. Consolation prize went to Mrs Geo Dow after beating Miss G Cooper. A Hamilton Hotel banquet followed with Mrs.

Collegiate Annual Concert Set for April 2 and 3

Preparations are under way for the Collegiate Annual Concert on Thursday and Friday April 2 and 3. The main feature will be Princess Chrysanthemum an operetta in three acts. Additional music will be provided by the Dauphin Collegiate orchestra.

Portage 3 Dauphin 3 in Juvenile Playdowns tied game

In Dauphin Monday night the Portage and Dauphin juveniles battled to a 3 all tie in game one of their playdown series. Slow ice slowed play, with Dauphin scoring early and late, and Portage answering with three goals in a three minute span in the final period.

Monster Ice Carnival Delights Dauphin Crowds

The third annual Monster Ice Carnival sponsored by the Dauphin Commercial Travelers drew hundreds to the arena for skating acts and pageantry led by Miss Alice Seeley as queen. Saskatoon favorites Katherine Shirk Joe Van Nes and Ted Cave drew acclaim with solos duets and clowning as speed skating novelty races and costume contests entertained families across two evenings.
