Mossey River Dam Under Construction Near Lake Dauphin
Quinn Construction of Winnpeg has the contract for the new Massey River dam costing about 70000. Work began three weeks ago with footings poured for four piers. Two cofferdams are used as roadways raising Lake Dauphin by six inches, risking a million dollar cottage and boat community investment. The dam sits at the river mouth 22 miles northeast of Dauphin.

Fate Of Garage By-law Held In Abeyance By Town Council
Town council referred the garage by law question to the town solicitor for advice on legal points and procedure. A motion to reconsider was carried eight to one with two abstentions, while others favored keeping the by law as is.
