Fires Prompt Town Fire Brigade Calls
Four minor blazes kept the fire brigade active this past week with chimney and refuse fires blamed on careless disposal and possible spontaneous combustion. Incidents occurred at Angus Presunka 9th Avenue SW, Tony Rzesnoski’s Burrows Avenue stable, Jake Buckwold’s stable behind the mill, and Wm Arnett’s empty house basement door. The town plans its annual municipal field day on Friday June 4 at the Fair Grounds with about 20 rural schools represented.
