Mossey River Municipality Special Meeting Notes 1927
A special meeting of the Rural Municipality of Mossey River was held July 23 1927 at 10 oclock in Park River with Reeve Fortney presiding. Delegates urged higher Grant in Aid due to 80 percent crop failure and urgent roads drainage and fire issues on municipal lands. An Old Age Pension of Wasyl Doskocz was recommended at 20 dollars per month amid health problems. A resolution was amended to replace 1936 with 1935. The meeting adjourned.

Sifton Man Given Seven Days For Drunken Driving
Spruhs was jailed seven days by Magistrate Thos Little after backing an old farm truck into another car during a Norton school picnic near Fishing River on Sunday July 18. He also faced a $5 fine or seven days for driving without a permit, with C A Rogers KC for the Crown and RCMP police laying the charge.

One Headlight Fined After Vermillion Street Crash
Raymond Chartier of Dauphin was fined five dollars and costs totaling five dollars and seventy five cents by Magistrate Little after a collision on Vermillion street opposite Allard's garage. John Sheptack's car sustained eighty five dollars in damage. Police found Chartier's car lacked the left front headlight bulb. C. B. A. Rogers K.C. represented the Crown. O. V. N. Farrell defended Chartier.

Prosecutions At Roblin For Breaking Egg Regulations
At Roblin provincial police court sittings on July 26 Samuel Silvert proprietor of Western Chain Store pleaded guilty to unlabelled eggs for sale and to obstructing an inspector under The Livestock and Livestock Products Act by refusing to allow examination of his books. Convictions were entered by Police Magistrate Thomas Little of Dauphin with C D Bates for the Crown.
