Canadian Bride Weds in Vancouver Ceremony

Suzanne Aller of Mrs. John Aller of Tyne Eng united in marriage with Dean Cecil Swan. The bride was given away by her brother Robert Aller of Vancouver. She wore a cocoa suit with accessories and gardenia corsage. Attendant Mrs. Robert Hunter wore a moss green suit. Reception followed at the Vancouver hotel. The couple will live in Vancouver. Mrs. Leonard Steick attended as guest last week.

Many Dauphin Residents Leave for Holidays

Numerous Dauphin residents and relatives depart for two week holidays to Clear Lake Winnipeg and other destinations. Travelers include Mrs G Craig Jr, Petty Officer Jim McIntyre, Mrs W G Worts, Lieut and Mrs F G Rose and families, and others visiting Winnipeg Ottawa Shilo and Montreal. Several service members return from leave and officers head back to duty.

Thunderstorm damage reported west and north of town damages include a twisted barn roof and torn south wall, a school roof damaged, a portable granary overturned, and two cows killed by lightning on farms nine miles northeast of Dauphin.

Return of Wounded Sgt Mc Caw From Europe Arrives in Winnipeg

Sgt Gordon A Mc Caw, wounded in Germany last February, returns to Winnipeg aboard a hospital train at month’s start after over four years overseas in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He is met at the station by his mother Mrs M McCaw, aunt Mrs M Smith, and cousin Lynne. He previously left Winnipeg last Wednesday for Toronto to visit his sisters and brother.
