Two Vehicles Damaged in Collision at City Intersection
A collision occurred about 6 am Sunday at Seventh avenue and Second street S.W. between a RCAF station vehicle driven by Frt.Lt. C. Hobson and a Cruise Dairy truck driven by W. McDonald. No injuries reported and both vehicles sustained non serious damage.

Navy League Tag Day Set by LODE for Saturday
Local LODE chapters will sponsor a tag day this Saturday July 3 to support the Navy League of Canada fund aiding boys in the navy and merchant marine. Dauphin residents donated over $250 last year to the provincial fund. The Navy League aims to care for merchant seamen and navy men and to train boys via Sea Cadet corps, with the Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire allied to the work.

Free Matinee Salvage Drive Attracts Local Children
The salvage committee held its first fats drive with a free matinee for children. About 75 youngsters ages three to twelve attended on a vacant lot beside the theatre, bringing 150 pounds of rendered fat. Tickets were issued by P. S. Cowan as chairman, and participants deposited fat tins. The drive aims to boost participation for future salvaging efforts and school salvage army points next fall.

Horticulture Authority to Speak at Dauphin Field Day

Two Soldiers Imprisoned for Jewellery Store Theft
Demytro Stefyn and Nicholas Korchynski of the 100th C A B C T at Portage appeared before Magistrate Thos Little in local police court charged with breaking and entering and theft at Roberts Jewellery Store on the night of June 10. The magistrate sentenced Stefyn to six months with hard labor and Korchynski to four months.
