RCMP radar teams report an improved pattern of safe driving in Manitoba. In the first half of the period, 377 motorists were prosecuted out of 72 143 vehicles clocked and 2 447 warnings were issued. Radar operated 595 hours during the period.

The DCTI student council staged The Belle of Barcelona a musical comedy to two enthusiastic audiences. Donna Bennett played Margaritan with a bright voice and fine stage presence, while Dennis Swick starred as Lt Harold Wright.
