The St James' Presbyterian church held its annual meeting with J W Johnston in the chair. Reports showed departments healthy. liabilities nearly cleared. Elections announced for board of managers, treasurer, secretary, and auditors. Rabboni Chapter Royal Arch Masons noted a past principal’s jewel presentation and new officers installed. Local curling results and district matches were reported, plus lectures at the school by Major Newcourth, Nurse Russell, Nurse Kellett, and Major Baird. Snowshoe party, card night for St Viator’s church, and thrift stamps promotion capped the week.

Dauphin Dramatic Society Presents A Poor Married Man

The Dauphin Dramatic Society staged A Poor Married Man at the town hall Friday evening. The comic play drew a packed house and earned applause for Prof. McMurray's orchestra. The production supports youth dramatic talent and raised a good sum for patriotic purposes.

St James Church Literary Contest Promises Varied Program

The 31st inst. competition at St James Church will feature eight competitors for the gold medal with a program of pathos tragedy and humor performed in character. An excellent town musical program will accompany the event and proceeds benefit the Children's Home with admission set at 25 cents.

A Saturday sale featuring ten cent tea and homemade cooking will be held at the home of Mrs A Vil leneuve 111 6th Ave from 3 to 8. Proceeds go to the Catholic church. Mrs Fred McNaughton and Mr Harry Edwards thank friends for support during the bereavement of a husband and brother. Card of Thanks from Mrs Jesse Howe and relatives expresses gratitude to Dauphin and Gilbert Plains friends for support during Mrs Dalgetty’s illness and death.

Annual curling match between law offices ends 12 6

The Bath Inst arena hosted the annual curling match between Wincan McFadden Caldwell and Simpson McGirr Co. Simpson McGirr won 12 to 6 led by E F Hunt and J N McFadden. After the game both teams met at Mrs McGirr’s home for lunch and the losers pledged a bag of flour to the Children’s Home.
