William Stacey a former general utility man in Dauphin municipal public works died in Dauphin General Hospital. Born in Devonshire England and moving through Perth Ontario Elkhorn Manitoba he settled in Dauphin in the 1890s. Survived by one son Harold Stacey of Oakburn. widow predeceased. Funeral at Farrells Chapel with Rev D K Burns officiating and burial at Riverside. Pallbearers named Walter Seeley William Percy James Mills Thomas Playford James Neill John Puchalski.

At St Pauls Anglican Church annual meeting last Thursday officers were not elected due to bad weather. The church reported a large mortgage reduction and organ repairs. Attendance and Sunday School enrolment rose, while a Deanery Laymen organization a Church Men's Club and a branch of the Anglican Young Peoples Association were formed. Gifts from Mr R W James and Mr Mrs Chas Padley supported improvements and furnishings. Missionary giving increased and the choir expanded. Twenty three burials were conducted. several longtime members were noted as moved away.
