Town Opens Wood Camp at Riding Mountain
The Town of Jau phin opened a wood cutting camp at Riding Mountain this week. A 14 by 24 lumber shanty was built last week under Superintendent Brinkman. Councillor Bennett, head of Police and Relief, oversees relief and plans to send two men to the camp this week.

Gilbert Plains Farmer Found Dead in Apparent Suicide
Tired Gilbert Plains farmer, a wheat grower 15 miles southeast of Gilbert Plains, was found dead January 12. Death by his own action was believed. He was discovered by his brother. His wife had been hospitalized, possibly weighing on him. He leaves four elementary children, his parents, and four sisters and four brothers. Dr. Rogers, Dauphin coroner, and Constable Kinpeck investigated. circumstances pointed to self destruction and no inquest was held.

Fire Hits Port Johnson Tarber Shop on Front Street
