The week saw 60 degrees spread from 28 above to 32 below, with traces of snow on three days and 0.5 inch on the 8th, equating to water.

Dauphin Chamber Forms 1964 Committees At First Meeting
The Dauphin chamber of commerce held its first 1964 meeting last Wednesday with Fred S. Zaplitny presiding. New committee heads include Mrs. J N Hall finance, Bill Hanbury publicity, Dr. R L Pascoe entertainment, Wm McClernon agriculture, Miss Helen Marsh resolutions, John L Tycho education, and R S Bob Oliver Santa Claus parade. A three member by laws committee was named with Zaplitny and J L Tyeholis. Miss Anne Ward was re appointed secretary treasurer for 1964, serving seventh year. The group approved an authorizing policy to streamline meetings by allowing officers to transact routine business between sessions with board approval. New affiliations include Manitoba and Canadian chambers. Educational classes for unemployed adults may start 4:30 to 10:30, with no tuition, textbooks provided, and living allowances possible. The program, funded by federal and provincial governments, aims to provide grade 10 level business English, math and science for placement in skilled jobs.
