Children’s Aid Society Annual Meeting Recaps 1926 Work

William Calder of the Department of the Interior and D L McLean deputy minister of Public Works left Winnipeg for Grandview to survey oil activities. W T Ross the chief operator at the December strike favored the inquiry amid rumors. Crude oil samples were analyzed under public utility commissioner instructions and further inquiry followed.

Injury to 3 Year Old Clarke on Seesaw Breaks Thigh Bone

Bryan Clarke son of Mr and Mrs J R Clarke suffered a fall on a seesaw Saturday breaking a thigh bone near the hip. Dr Bottey and Dr Rogers treated the injury and reported the boy is progressing well.

One week passes since holidays as students settle in at new lodgings. Miss Millie Johnson of Grade XII has scarlet fever at home in Minitonas. Miss Crandall ill but wished to return to teach. Boys’ hockey shows 10 games played with Craig 3-2-8, Baird 2-2-4, Rawson 2-1-5, Grant 1-1-3. Girls’ league has four teams. Normals beat Business College 4-1 in first game.

Quiet wedding at First Presbyterian manse

Irene McGregor, daughter of J. B. McGregor of North Brandon, married David Brown of Dauphin at the First Presbyterian manse with Rev. C. 8. Oke officiating. The bride wore cinnebar crepe-back satin. The couple left for Dauphin to establish their home.
