The 61st meeting of Dauphin District No. 905 elected John N Fadden as chairman for 197% in six ballots. Appointments included R. M. Cardiff secretary treasurer and auditors Adam Armstrong Co Winnipex. Regular meetings set for the first Friday. bylaws allow borrowing 40000 from Bank of Nova Scotia.

Mises K Cotter superintendent of Dauphin General hospital had her left hand and arm badly burned and crushed while testing the steam mangle at the hospital setup. The accident occurred during a preliminary inspection when her hand and arm were drawn between hot rollers. Amputation was considered but not needed. she rests more comfortably after two days of severe pain.

Young man kicked by horse suffers skull fracture
On Saturday Cyril Price, employed by F Chute, was kicked in the head while leading a horse and found to have a fractured skull. He remains in serious condition at the hospital. On the same day Melville Spillet of Gilbert Plains, formerly of Dauphin, lost a finger while using a sawing machine and sought treatment at Dauphin Hospital.

Dauphin defeated Neepawa 2 to 1 in a hard fought Central Manitoba Hockey League match at Front Street arena. The game featured a soggy ice and a late surge by the locals with Geo Heard tying the score in the third period while Hawden of Neepawa served a five minute suspension, shaping a dramatic finish as the crowd rallied and play continued toward the back page.
