M D Canvass Slated For Next Tuesday
The annual March of Dimes canvass for the Society for Crippled Children and Adults will be held Tuesday evening in Dauphin and the Ectipee district. Odd Fellows lodge No 36 and Hebeksh lodge No 13 organize for the seventh consecutive year to raise funds for crippled children, polio victims, and related services.

H W Todd Teillet arrives in Dauphin to lead the National Employment Service branch after C F Bullmore retires. A 1945 claims officer in Winnipeg, he later managed the Kenora branch and was born in St. Vital 1921. Charles F Bullmore retires after 15 years as manager of the National Employment Service Dauphin office effective December 31. Born in Minnedosa in 1901, he worked at Union Bank, RCMP and as a private investigator before civil service. Hugh Campbell presented a meritorious service certificate on December 28.

Whitmore Transfer Moves Western Grocers Supervisor to Yorkton
Harry F. Whitmore, longtime Western Grocers Dauphin branch employee since 1946, transfers to Yorkton Saskatchewan as retail supervisor serving a large area. Born in Dauphin, he started as a warehouse man and became a salesman in recent years after four and a half years with the Royal Engineers and Infantry.
