The Royal Canadian Mounted Police assumed Dauphin policing on January 1 under a council approved plan. Cpl. M. C. Scheer leads the town station with Cpl. E. L. MacDougall taking over duties. four officers sit on town duties, with seven or eight total on duty. The RCMP will prosecute trials, serve summonses, and handle processes. Dauphin Crew Remembered At Christmas By Ladies Club
Officers and men of the Canadian corvette Dauphin were remembered at Christmas by La Verendrye Chapter Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire. Local ladies filled 61 utility bags with hot chocolate mix, cigarettes, toiletries, writing supplies, mitts and socks, candy, and a navy green sewing kit. The parcels also included 31 cribbage boards and 30 packs of ecards.

Judge Simpson Appointed To Dauphin Judicial District
Judge F K Simpson of Minnedosa is named to the Dauphin Judicial District. He has acted as Dauphin judge for over a year during illness and after the death of Judge Bonnycastle, and returns to the town where he lived from 1907 to 1928. Simpson’s career included partnerships in Dauphin with Campbell, McGirr and Katz, and he was born in Owen Sound Ontario. He and his wife plan to move from Minnedosa to Dauphin.
