Former District Man Killed In B C Rock Slide
Don Persson returned from the funeral of his brother Carl Persson age 45 of Penticton formerly of the Old Dauphin district who was killed in a rock slide Sunday Feb 13 Funeral services were held Thursday Feb 17 at Penticton Carl was working a caterpillar clearing blasted rock in the Kootenay area where a bridge is to be constructed The blasting it is thought loosened rock causing a slide under which Mr Persson was caught He is survived by his wife and two sons of Penticton.
