Fire Damages Home of Wm Grodzick on Main Street
An estimated 2000 dollars in damage occurred at the residence of Wm Grodzick 903 Main Street South early Monday. The alarm sounded at 255 am and volunteers battled the blaze for nearly two hours in darkness and subzero temps. Occupants escaped from a side window as two inside doors were blocked by furniture. The fire likely started in a kitchen corner near a chest of drawers. heat and fire damage were confined to the kitchen while other areas suffered heat damage to clothing and furniture finishes. A separate chimney fire at T Keats 217 Seventh Avenue Southwest caused no damage.

Fire incidents report two chimney blazes last week
