Chas Murray Dies at Swan River After Illness
Chas Murray died Friday February 7 at Swan River after a brief illness from heart trouble. Born in Avoning Ontario 1286, he worked with Canadian agricultural departments in Alberta and Manitoba before moving to Swan River in 1931. He is survived by his widow Irene Moodie Murray and four children, with funeral services at St James Anglican Church.

Mrs Robt J Morrison Dies In 64th Year
Mrs Robt J Morrison of 18th Fifth Avenue Northwest died at General Hospital after five weeks illness. A charter member of L O B A No 338 she was active in church and charity work and served with Welfare Society Woman's Hospital Aid Local Council of Women and United Church Ladies Aid and Missionary Society. Her husband survives. Funeral from United Church Thursday afternoon with burial in Riverside Cemetery.

Police Detective Convicted Over Bought Liquor Case

The La Verendrye Chapter LO.D.E. held its annual meeting at the Armoury on Friday February 7. Reports praised the year's work and welfare efforts with 100 garments donated and three boxes sent to Crane Bay school and isolated districts. Officers elected for 1936 include Regent Mrs. W. E. Lee and Secretary Mrs. Robi Hawkins. an oath to King Edward VIII was sworn.

Power rate changes authorized by Dauphin Town Council
