Canadian town shooting thriller in Dauphin link
A Tisdale Saskatchewan dispatch reports a veteran veterinary surgeon and a former Dauphin livery stable keeper clashed while settling partnership matters. Cathers sues rural Daushin for 15000 damages
Jacob Cathers has commenced a King's Bench suit against the rural municipality of Daushin claiming 15000 damages. He alleges the municipality negligently obstructed a watercourse and diverted surfaces, causing flooding of his farm, crop destruction, and soil injury. The Dauphin Bonspiel began Monday with local rinks dominating early rounds as outside teams faced late trains. By Tuesday the weather eased and a mild spill aided progress. Twenty six rinks compete split roughly town versus all comers with good ice quality despite prior extreme cold.
