Main Street Decorated for Christmas in Dauphin
Dauphin’s main street features evergreen trees along the curb as a Christmas decoration effort. About $60 was spent this year with 25 percent funded by the Town Council and the rest raised by a Board of Trade drive. All funds covered labor costs. subscriptions totaling $38 came from local businesses and individuals including McGirr & Katz, Hotel Dauphin, Grandview Hotel, and Canadian Bank of Commerce among others.

Oldest residents note the passing of Mrs Eliza Ann Pinder Caldwell age about 72 born in Orchard Ontario. She moved to Manitoba in 1900 with husband Henry Flemming Caldwell and lived in Dauphin where he worked in business. Survived by three sons Gilbert Plains Charl es and others three daughters and two sisters. Funeral held at United Church Dauphin with burial at Riverside Cemetery.
