Remarkable Pekin Duck Lays 124 Eggs in 128 Days
C W Dunfield’s Pekin duck began laying March 13 and, after a late start due to snow, produced 124 eggs in 128 days with five double yolks. In 56 days she laid 68 eggs, three double yolked. The bird did not set. Also, Todariuk’s violent symptoms led to his detention and transfer to an asylum.

Thieves Again Baffled by Police at Warehouse
On Friday night a foggy scene at the Western Grocers warehouse ended with thieves fleeing after being spotted by constable Dennett. Women were seen carrying goods as they exited by a raised window, mainly canned goods. No loss occurred. three or four suspects were nabbed but the culprits escaped into the mist.
