Carl Rasmussen Dies Overseas
Word was received Aug. 11 of the death overseas of Lieut. Carl E. Rasmussen killed during an air raid. A Winnipegosis native and Royal Military College graduate of 1939, he served at Camp Borden then went overseas in October 1941. Survived by his widow in Winnipeg, three brothers in the RCAF and CEF, and two sisters.

Flying Officer A. James Marsh Killed on Active Service Overseas
Flying Officer A James Marsh second son of Mr and Mrs W Marsh of Dauphin was killed on active service in England on Sunday Aug 16. He had been overseas since March 31 this year. Born in Dauphin Feb 21 1916 he studied at Dauphin Collegiate Institute Manitoba University and the University of Missouri School of Journalism. He joined the RCAF in May 1941 and was attached to an RAF station in England testing radio equipment in four motor bombers. He previously edited the Dauphin Herald and set up aeronautical pages for local schools. Surviving are his parents a brother and a sister.
