Dauphin Considers New Water Supply From Vermillion Basin
Dauphin town council hired Underwood McLellan & Associates to prep a report and maps for submission to federal authorities on a potential new water source in Riding Mountain National Park. Proposals include damming the Vermillion river and expanding headwaters. a well-drilling program will also be tested to gauge feasibility and economics. The interim findings say Edwards Lake and Edwards Creek supply is inadequate for growth to 2015 and future needs.
