Keays and Bumstead Birth Announcements
Keays in Winnipeg on April 4th welcomed a son to Mr. and Mrs. Albert K Keays. Bumstead in Dauphin on April 1st welcomed a son to Mr. and Mrs. F W Bumstead. Elizabeth Stevens aged 69 from Dauphin died March 30 and was interred at Riverside Cemetery on April 5.

Dauphin Oil Wells Organization Forms Drilling Venture
Leaseholders have formed an incorporated company to consolidate holdings and drill for oil near the original discovery. The group will control about 20 000 acres and, with a charter issued, will appoint directors and pursue three drilling outfits within sixty days. Provincial officials plan to inspect the site this week if weather allows.

Child Welfare Station Opens for Mothers in 1918
Since the opening of the child welfare station in summer 1918, many mothers have attended to obtain instruction in child care. The station at the Rest Room is open Tuesdays and Thursdays 4 to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 3 to 5 p.m. A public health nurse provides guidance on child hygiene, with weekly health conferences to assess development and improve home care.
