Collegiate Annual Concert Sanctioned by Supportive Society

The Collegiate Literary Society staged The Wild Rose in Markenzie Auditorium with 116 students in the cast and 35 in the chorus, backed by Miss Florence Meier in the lead. The program featured an orchestra under L Caners, solo and ensemble numbers, country dances, and a historic Allisons Lad scene, earning praise for performance and scenery.

Junior Hockey In Sight Next Season

Delphic plans to join Dauphin district in junior hockey next season as a sponsor group presses for financial backing to expand youth hockey. Dozens of local boys have shown strong development over two years and could field a fast, high quality junior team with district support.

The franchise commissioner enacts annual revision of Dauphin federal electoral lists from April 1 to July 1. Electors may apply to strike, add or transfer names. Dauphin Juveniles defeated East Kildonan 6-2 in a post season game at the Dauphin arena on Friday evening. Dauphin pressed the action all game with Gadzosa, Patterson, Bladon, and Bradon contributing key goals as they built a lead before the Ekays answered late in the match.

Miss Gladys Nicholson moved a vote of thanks to Mrs. Everall on behalf of the club. Mrs. R. P. Eastman delivered three laugh provoking monologues in response to encores. Mrs. R. J. Gorby received an enthusiastic reception for her bold performance of the Kpelling Hungarian Rhapsodie. Mrs. N. Dahlgren contributed a further item.
