Death of Archibald Balmer in Thamesville Ont
Archibald Balmer died last week in Thamesville Ontario after a long life as a resident of the area. Born there about 54 years ago he worked in Port-Azure Plains and Dauphin before returning to his family homestead which his father took up over a century ago. He is survived by a wife and one daughter Maria and was well known and respected in the community.

Minister Duncans Notice To Leave St James Parish
At a large St James congregation meeting on Sunday March 28 Rev P Duncan signified willingness to accept a call from St Pauls Brandon to transfer by end of June. The congregation urged him to stay but he decided to move. A vacancy and supply committee was formed with J Kennedy and other members to fit the vacancy. Several local residents were noted as absent or traveler guests. The community reported some residents struck by illness and loss in recent weeks. The Ladies Aid and Masquerade Ball events are noted with planned activities and attendees.

A. J. McArthur of Winnipeg son of Daniel McArthur of Dauphin was killed by electrocution on Saturday the 27th while with a Manitoba Government Telephon e gang near Bird's Hill. He was 28, married, survived by his wife and by a father and brother traveling to Winnipeg for the deceased's birthday.

On Wednesday before Judge Benny Castle, Corkcliffe school trustees of Fork River sued Geo Basham former teacher to recover $214 claimed as excess pay.
