In Belfast on Wednesday Mr Thomas White a noted local merchant and brother to Mr Hu White of Dublin wed Miss Arbuckle heiress to an estate of 3501 per annum with a fortune of 1000.
Ghusefter Sept 22 reports two days of racing with four horses in the Gentlemen's Subscription Purse of fifty guineas led by The Duke of Beaufort's Grey Horse Trip and Mr Neal's Bay Horse Second. Black Seas won the Plate as did Black Legs in the Stakes. On Thursday five hunters ran for the Town Subscription Purse won by Mr Boyce's Bay Horse Straddler 3 and Peggy grieves me won the Stakes. Three heats each day featured very good sport, especially the last.
