Robbery of North Mail at Kingsland in 1738

Public notice from the Post-Master General offers a two hundred pound reward for the capture of the lone robber who attacked the North Mail near London between two and three in the morning. Aids two accomplices suspected at a distant jam. Describes the suspect as a middle six foot man in a light coat and full bob wig. He carried five bags and seized most letters from several bags.

Robbery of Bristol Mail on Knightsbridge Route

General-Post-Office in London reports a dawn attack on the Bristol Bath Hereford Leominster Presteigne mail near Knightsbridge and Kensington. Three men on horseback and one on foot seized the bags and fled. A two hundred pound reward plus parliamentary rewards are offered for discovery, with a royal pardon for accomplices who reveal the criminals.

Dividend of Lands promised by New Jersey Council 1737

The Council of Proprietors in the Eastern Division of New Jersey declares a two thousand acre dividend per propriety after two years, with further annual dividends until all common lands are allocated. Notice to proprietors in Britain and elsewhere to elect and locate past and future dividends and to act promptly at Perth Amboy on August 8, 1737, to prevent worst lands being left later.
