A strong press gang at Shooters Hill seized several seamen returning by land. The Bedford India-man, damaged by Newfoundland weather, may be lightened before mooring. Cargo lists reveal large quantities of saltpetre pepper rice tea. Obits and trials noted with legal and civic notices follow.
