Arrival of Persian Ambassador at Scutari in Elaborate Ceremony
Constantinople Aug 19 reports Baki Kan Persian ambassador welcomed with full pomp. 200-person retinue, 120 horses, 429 Janissaries, and officers paraded for audience at the Kaimaikan and Admir alty Wharf. Salutes from Leander's Tower, Top-Hana, and Galata marked the ceremonial entry. The embassy, led by Gentch Ali Bashan, arrived from Erzerum after signing peace, with credentials and Persian dress.
