Chelsea Water Works Beams Removed Open Thames Canal Access

An 1731 Chelsea Water Works notice grants wider river access for Bargemen Lightermen and others to land goods via a new Crane near the road from Chelsea to Hyde Park Corner. Auction Notice At Hoxton And Stamford Hill Farm Offer

A Victorian style auction notice describes sale of a cow farm at upper Evid, Hoxton, with stock and a new four-room house, plus a Stamford Hill farm of eighty acres with a pew-built house and barn. Ralph Harwood of Shoreditch advertises goods for sale and a great house with household items. The sale spans Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, October 14 15, with lowest prices and abatements offered. Items include furniture, tables, desks, chests, chairs, beds, quilts, blankets, clocks, carpets, china, pewter, and reserves.
