Arrival of Maul from France and Dauphin Birth Celebrations
On Saturday the Maul arrived from France by order of the King to sing a Te Deum in the Chief Church for the Dauphin birth. Sixty cannon discharged from the Cadiz square were answered by the theft of vessels in the Bay. The town lit up for three nights as orders for similar rejoicings were issued. Court traveled to St Lucar by land or sea, with boats ready for Seville, wind uncertain. Marquess de Brancas postpones a feast planned after reaching Seville.
