Foreign extract on John and Francis voyage and a Carolina broadside

A court at Africa House reviews extracts from letters dated April 20 1736 from the Royal African Company at Fames Fort Gambia. It notes the John and Francis schooner from Boston arrived February 16 with Captain Silk and a vessel crew. shipment and trade details follow. A passenger named Agh t Banyan landed on the river bank and then traded, with horses and a Portuguese person onboard. He planned to build a house in the Gomery, gathered nine free people including Feidigos, and sailed away clandestinely. The extract warns of potential trouble for private traders and describes steps to recover the people and deter further contact. The writers intend to inform the Governor of Cutchee and Paris officials and dispatch a vessel to mitigate the affair.

Veldt-Marshal Munich Moves from Crimea to the Dnieper

London reports from Petersbourg that Veldt Marshal Count Munich has abandoned the Crimea and arrived with his army on the Dnieper banks to observe Turkish movements and deter any invasion. The court is seen as giving up hopes of conquering the region as it proves harder than first thought.
