Widows of Royal Navy officers to receive pensions in London

Pay Office notice dated Sept 21 1738 instructs widows of commission and warrant officers to collect pensions and bounty due to August 31 1738. Separate days assigned for captains to gunners widows, carpenters pursers surgeons, with hours 10 to 2, and attendance required in person or receipts via parish minister or churchwardens for absence. Widows in London or near Paris urged to attend or provide required certificates.

The Court of Directors of the South Sea Company hereby gives notice they will expose to sale at Threadneedle Street on Thursday October 12 at nine o clock forenoon 1674 sevens bags and Cafes of Carraccas Cocoa Nuts recently imported by the ship Tryton chiefly from the Carraccas and that no more Cocoa Nuts will be put up to sale until February next.
