Lady Viscountess Molesworth Delivers Daughter

In Dublin on September 25 the Right Hon. Lady Viscountess Molesworth safely bore a daughter. A large wherry from Howth laden with herrings from the Isle of Man foundered at sea between Lambay and Howth Friday evening, and all hands perished.

Horse Races at Burford and Weather Drownings at Alnwick

Burford reports two horses entered for a purse of 60 guineas with each horse allotted ten guineas on Tuesday. On Wednesday four hunters contested for 60 guineas with Merryman, Bay, Diana, Prior and others placing. On Thursday five horses raced with Merr Hunter, West Wisier, Teaver, Fox Hunter and Eubhephalus among placers. Nobility attended daily. Newcastle via Alnwick notes heavy rain on Saturday causing floods. one boy drowned near Alnwick and several more in Cockermouth rivers.
