Highwayman Foiled in London Late Return Home

London dated report tells how Mr Justice Dennet, returning to Walthamstow, was robbed of eight shillings and two gold rings near Low-Layton by a single highwayman. The judge, with pistol drawn, lurched to search him, and the victim seized the thief, ending the attempted further assault.
