Trials and executions in Toledo and Lisbon curiously noted
A Mail from France and Madrid dated November 2 recounts a Toledo Inquisition court sentence two men and four women for Judaism and other crimes with one man strangled and burned the same day, another man and a woman whipped the following day. Lisbon reports a September 76th festival disaster at Olivera del Barrio near Coimbre where a storm toppled a church dome killing and wounding dozens. Also noted are noble banishments by a royal order, church elections, royal appointments, and stock market items with ships, embassies, and court introductions in London.
