Geneva reports an ordinance from the Syndics and cantonal envoys seeking to bury past troubles by decree. It forbids pamphlets and recalls royal and religious oaths, praising the King and urging unity, order, and protection of the realm against division and violence.

A letter dated November 11 1737 thanks the Worthy Inhabitants of the Ward of Farringdon Within for electing the author Alderman. The writer pledges faithful discharge of trust, support for residents rights and privileges, and efforts to promote unity and welfare of the ward.
The Bishop delivers a royal blessing at Lunéville on October 28 praising King Stanislaus for public devotion to God and invoking gratitude. He urges that the standards be placed under holy protection, affirming that kings reign by divine grace and stressing piety, justice, and loyalty. An ordinance will be published at usual places on Nov 1, 1737, noted by TuURRETTIN.
