A dated petition from Lynn Regis Aldermen and Burgesses mocks political meddling and calls for a patent ensuring future envoys and plenipotentiaries. It ridicules London politicians while pledging loyalty and a peaceful treaty stance amid county grievances.
The port reports ships remaining in the Downs including Greenwich and Cruizer with a Dutch East India ship. The Biddeford, Greyhound, Sophia, Hibernia, Lily Towns end and others sail or remain for New England Cork Milford Oporta and Cape Verd. Several arrivals from New England Lisbon Philadelphia and Antigua are noted with variable winds.
