France's Poverty Claim Put to Pacification Plot

A London-printed broadside argues France feigns poverty to push a peace settlement favorable to the Queen of Hungary. It predicts Britain might be lured into concessions, warns of plans to patch rules for years, and cautions Britons to guard liberties amid continental shifts. It cites French subsidies, naval power, and trade shifts to explain the supposed strategy.
