Empress Enjoins Education From Ages Eight to Twenty

Mails from France and Holland report an imperial edict urging lads eight to twelve to learn writing arithmetick and geometry. from sixteen to twenty to study fortification and history, after which they may enter Imperial Service. Vienna March 20 report also notes Seckendorff may shortly become Veldt Marshal General of Hungary. Paris April 3 updates Don Philip’s birth date and his appointment as High Admiral General of Spain with courtly honors.
