British Minister Delivers Answer to Grand Vizir on Peace Talks

Late last night mail from Holland reports Faulkner the British ambassador to the Porte sent the King s full powers to the Grand Vizir. A dragoman returned with a letter inviting ministers to confer on peace with Russia once the Czarina dispatches plenipotentiaries. Faulkner plans to set out for Babaduch on February 1 and Kalkeen toward month end, while Britain continues war preparations with diligence.
